Your KYBELLA® Treatment
KYBELLA® is a simple injectable treatment performed in our office.
KYBELLA® consists of synthetic deoxycholic acid. This molecule is natural to the body and helps break down and absorb dietary fat to achieve the slender and more defined appearance you desire. KYBELLA® is injected directly into the fatty area under the chin to destroy these fat cells.
Combination Treatments
KYBELLA® helps patients achieve stunning results. Many women and men choose to combine KYBELLA® with other non-surgical facial treatments, including:

What Are Your Concerns About KYBELLA®?
Recovery
There is no downtime associated with KYBELLA®, and you can return to your normal activities immediately after your treatment.
You may experience swelling, bruising, pain, discomfort, numbness, redness, and/or hardness in the treatment area, but these should dissipate within a few days.
Scars
Because KYBELLA® is a minimally invasive injectable treatment, you will not have any resulting scars.
Cost
KYBELLA® cost varies for each patient and depends on several factors, including the extent of correction needed and whether you are combining other treatments with KYBELLA®.
During your consultation, you will receive a cost estimate for your treatment. At Bonaldi Aesthetics Plastic Surgery and Med Spa, we are happy to offer financing options to our patients.
Pain
While patients do not require anesthesia, a topical ointment can be applied. Many patients report feeling a burning sensation in the injected area that lasts for about 15 minutes.
After your treatment, you may feel some discomfort and pain; however, this should resolve itself, and medications can be taken to alleviate any pain you experience.
Frequently Asked Questions About KYBELLA®
While some patients will only need one KYBELLA® treatment session to achieve the results they are looking for, other patients with more significant submental fullness may require repeated treatments. You will be advised on how many treatments you will need during your consultation.
Once your side effects dissipate (usually after a few days), you can see a significant reduction in the fullness beneath the chin. However, it can take several months for your results to become final. Once this happens, you can look forward to permanent fat reduction under the chin and a more defined chin and jaw profile.
Most KYBELLA® treatment sessions take 15 to 20 minutes to complete.
Your KYBELLA® results are permanent; however, KYBELLA® cannot keep away the natural effects of aging. Additionally, gaining weight can cause fat to accumulate under the chin. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle (balanced diet and regular exercise) can prolong your results.
