Many patients have no idea what to expect when they come in for their initial visit with a Plastic Surgeon. Practices have many different philosophies on what this time should consist of; here is an idea of what you can expect on your first visit.
Part of what sets Bonaldi Aesthetics aside from others is our complete consultation from the moment you call to make your appointment to our follow-up communication once you have left.
Upon your initial phone call, our receptionist will ask you questions ranging from the type of consultation you are interested in to the date/times that work best for you and our doctor. You may also speak with our Patient Concierge to discuss more in depth questions you might have before you see Dr. Bonaldi. While we are limited as to what we can answer over the phone, there are many topics that can be discussed ahead of time so your appointment can be more tailored to your specific needs.
Once you arrive and check in for your appointment, our nurse will take you into an exam room where she will discuss your medical/family history, any allergies you may have or preexisting conditions. You may be imaged with our state of the art imaging system, the Vectra by Canfield. This is a 3D imaging machine that will take a picture of your face or body part you are interested in discussing and Dr. Bonaldi can manipulate the image to show you an estimation of your expected outcome.
Dr. Bonaldi will exam you, discuss your desires and communicate a realistic plan /outcome as well as the risks associated with your chosen procedure, downtime and post-operative wound care expectations. It is always helpful to bring photos of yourself when you were younger if you are discussing a face or eye lift, or pictures of breasts or noses that appeal to you.
After your visit with the doctor, you will meet with our Patient Concierge to go over your financial quote and discuss scheduling. You will be able to schedule your surgery and all of your appointments at this time if you are ready. Otherwise, most, if not all, of these details can be taken care of by phone at a later date.
You will receive a lot of information at this appointment, and many patients can be overwhelmed. We highly recommend taking time to process what you learned, do research if you need to and even come back to see the doctor again if you come up with further questions.
If you are not ready to schedule right away, we will follow up with you upon your requested time frame and move forward when you are confident and comfortable that you have all of the information you need.
